How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on 2000 Dodge Durango?

First open the hood and remove the headlamp assembly in order to service the headlamp bulb. Then remove the retaining ring holding the bulb in place in the headlamp. Grasp the bulb, then pull it from the socket and then pull the bulb socket out of the headlamp. While installing the new bulb don't touch the bulb glass with finger or any oily surface, this may reduce bulb life. Put the bulb socket in the headlamp and insert the bulb into the socket and push. Finally reinstall the headlamp assembly and secure the bulb with the retaining ring.
