How to service and repair the alternator on 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 Van?

In order to fix the alternator, one should disconnect the negative battery cable, disconnect the drive belt, and remove the generator bolts to reach wire connectors. Disassemble the B+ and field wire and take out the generator. Install connection Reconnect the field wire, B+, and tighten the bolts. Lastly, re-attach the battery cable.
