  A: Servicing the fuel rail assembly should begin only after you have let out the fuel system pressure. For this work, you'll need to use the Fuel System Pressure Release Procedure. These fuel rails should be replaced together and not detached from each other where the hose is connected without clamps. Always straighten the fuel line carefully as you take out the fuel rail assembly. First, take away the engine cover, remove the negative battery cable and take off the air cleaner. Perform the fuel pressure release before removing the throttle body off the intake manifold. If air conditioning is present, get rid of the three bolts that hold down the A-shaped A/C compressor-to-intake manifold support bracket. Cut off the attachment of all fuel injectors to the electrical network, because they are tagged with numbers. Detach the tube coming from the fuel rail at the side, then unbolt remaining mounting bolts of the fuel rail. Carefully clean any dirt or particles you find on each fuel injector at the intake manifold. Rock and pull each fuel rail back and forth until all of the injectors are out of the intake manifold and then remove the fuel rail and injectors together. Pull out the clips that hold the injectors onto the fuel rail. Engine oil should be applied to every fuel injector O-ring before installation to help make the process easier. Attach the injectors and their clips to the fuel rail, slide the rail/injector assembly into the openings of the intake manifold and carefully guide the injectors into their spots without hurting the O-ring. Secure the injectors by pushing both fuel rails down and mounting the bolts correctly. Attach the power connector to the car's intake manifold air temperature sensor and link the schedule wiring to all fuel injectors. If need be, attach the A/C support bracket again; afterward, mount the throttle body to the intake manifold. Reattach the fuel tube to the side of the fuel rail, mount the air cleaner, attach the battery cable, turn on the engine, look for leaks and fit the engine cover when all is well.
