2000 Dodge Ram 3500 Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace a Window Regulator on 2000 Dodge Ram 3500?
A: Remove the waterdam from the front door panel before you start to change the power window regulator. After that, remove the window switch from the door trim panel and attach it to the door harness. Move your window to the assigned position, then take out the nuts. From the top of the door, pull the door glass free of the regulator lift plate and raise it all the way up, sealing it with a wedge made of wood or a similar material. Turn down the regulator and undo the nuts that secure the stabilizer. After that, remove the forward regulator bolt and loosen the remaining two bolts. Raise the regulator out of the keyholes in the door panel and separate the electrical link to take it out. Slide the regulator inside through the opening in the door panel and join the electrical cable to it. Line up the regulator bolts in the keyhole positions and secure them against the seal flush, then apply 10 N.m (89 in.lbs) of torque to the forward bolt and to each of the other two bolts. Adjust the stabilizer, attach the nuts and apply a tightness of 10 N.m (89 in.lbs). Following the instructions, set the regulator to the right position, take off the glass support and then connect the regulator to the lift plate. Put on the threaded glasses and tighten to 10 N.m (89 in.lbs). Then, unplug the window control switch, place it back in the door and reinstall the waterdam.
