2001 Chrysler Sebring Cruise Control Servo Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Cruise Control Servo on 2001 Chrysler Sebring?
A: Start by disconnecting the car's negative battery cable when working on the cruise control servo. Take out the two nuts holding the servo bracket to the shocktower and then free the servo's electrical connectors and hose from it. After that, take out the nuts that link the speed control and mounting bracket to the servo. Pull the cable so the servo's retaining clip is left exposed and remove it. After connecting, remove the servo bracket. Before you install the cable, use the full-open throttle, hold the cable sleeve near the bracket hole, align the hole on the cable with the hole on the servo and fasten the clip in place. Connect the vacuum hose to the servo and also to the electrical connector. Slide the studs from the servos into the holes in the cable and bracket and secure both with nuts that are tightened to 6.7 Nm or 60 in. lbs. Connect the servo and bracket to the stud plate in the shocktower and tighten all the nuts before putting the negative battery cable back in place.
