2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Window Regulator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Window Regulator on 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: Remove the watershield to start service and repair on the front door window regulator. After that, remove the door glass retaining clips and use tape or another method to hold the window up. In case your vehicle is installed with a power window motor, disconnect the wire connector. Free up the screws that hold on the front and rear window guide rails to the inner door panel. Then easily pull out the screw heads from the keyhole notches of the inner door panel. Open the screws that hold the regulator to the door panel and lift out the regulator. Pull the interior guide rails for the power windows through the two doors at the back and front. Open the front hole from the inside and push the front rail through it. For the rear rail, do the same through the rear hole. Set the window regulator inside the door panel, making sure that the screw heads on the rails match the keyhole slots. Fix the screws to secure the guiderails to the inside of the door, attach the wire connector on the power window motor if this model has one, insert the window glass and inspect that the door glass is properly aligned and works. After that, fit the sound shield and door trim panel in place.
