  A: First, open the hood and remove the negative battery cable from its remote battery terminal. Some vehicles come with side air bags, so you should wait for two minutes after shutting off the negative battery lead, because this gives the air bag system capacitor time to drain and helps prevent accidental firing. After that, take out the front side shield from the seat cushion and gently lift the knobs from the seat switch. Take out the connecting screws from the switch and pull the switch away from the cushion side shield. To install, line up the switch, use the four attaching screws to hold it in place and then add the knobs back to the switch. Connect the wiring electrical connector to the switch and put the seat cushion side shield back in place. Lastly, attach the negative battery cable remote terminal back to the remote battery post.
