- Q: How to Maintain the Rear Door Weather Strip on 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser?A: Open the front or rear door to gain access to the rear door weather strip. Gently lift the push pin at the bottom of the A pillar using a wide flat tool, then remove the weather strip. Be sure to clean the container with cleaner or water to remove any leftover butyl on the body. At this step, set the seal under the quarter window glass and along the edge of the door opening. Push the push pins at the base of the A pillar into their spots and then install the rest of the seal.
