How to Service the Cigarette Lighter Auxiliary Power Outlet on 2002 Chrysler Sebring?

Before working on the cigarette lighter, first remove and disconnect the negative battery cable. After that, take out the lower cover from the left side console and unplug the wire harness connectors from the cigarette lighter. Twist the retainer on the back of the cigarette lighter and pull the cigarette lighter out. Order of assembly should be to first fit the cigarette lighter to the instrument panel, then fix the retainer to the lighter. Afterwards, match the wire harness connectors, put the left side console lower cover back in and then link the battery negative cable once more.
