2003 Dodge Caravan Throttle Body Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Throttle Body on 2003 Dodge Caravan?
A: Before working on the throttle body, take away the negative battery cable and disconnect it. Following, remove the air inlet clamp from the throttle body tube and take off the cables from the throttle and speed control cable lever. Separate the juice from the idle air control motor and the TPS. After that, loosen the attaching bolts on the throttle body and lift it up to remove the gasket. If there is a new gasket, at installation fit the new gasket and the throttle body in the correct area, firmly securing them with 28.2 Nm (250 ± 50 in. lbs.) (2.4L engine) or 11.6 Nm (105 ± 20 in. lbs.) (3.3 or 3.8L engine). Secure the electrical connectors back to the idle air control motor and the TPS, put the inlet air hose into the throttle body again and attach its clamp and then reconnect the battery's negative cable.
