In order to service the water pump, unplug battery, empty coolant and pull out the air cleaner intake tube and fan shroud. Examine the fan assembly, and pull out the water pump and the fan assembly. Wipe the surfaces, replace a new gasket and reconnect, not forgetting to assure correct torque and connection. Lastly, fill the cooling system and ensure leakages.
