How to Service the Headlight Switch on 2003 Dodge Ram 3500?

First, switch off the air bag system on vehicles with air bags by removing and isolating the negative battery cable, then allow two minutes for the capacitor to discharge. First, remove the left instrument panel bezel and then pull the harness connector apart. Following this, draw out the screws that secure the headlamp switch to the instrument panel bezel and take out the switch. Install the headlamp switch by putting it on the left bezel of the instrument panel and screwing it down tightly with 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.) of force. Connect the wire harness for the headlamp switch to the instrument panel, put the left instrument panel bezel on the panel and set the cluster bezel in place. Now, reattach the negative cable to the battery.
