The turbocharger must be taken out first, followed by the self-locking exhaust manifold nuts. Then, take away the exhaust manifold and clean all the contact points. Guide the straight edge across the gasket to make sure it is flat and if you find any cracks in the manifold, don't use it. Afterward, replace the exhaust manifold gasket, set the manifold on top of the studs and tighten the fixing nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Afterwards, replace the turbocharger.
