- Q: How to Maintain and Fix the Rear Door Weather Strip on 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee?A: Before installing the rear door weather strip, get rid of the C-pillar trim, the B-pillar upper trim and the B-pillar lower trim. After that, remove the front screws from the quarter trim panel and free the weather strip where it connects to the door opening flange. Before installation, stick 12-inch strips of foam tape to the flange in the marked locations. After that, position the weather strip at each corner. After installing the weather strip above, fit it around all four sides of the door opening so that it sits against the flange. Place the connector with each drop at both ends of the weather strip at the door bottom and then secure the screws at the front of the quarter trim. Put the B-pillar trim under the quarter trim, put on the upper B-pillar trim and lastly mount the C-pillar trim.
