How to Maintain an Oxygen Sensor Effectively on 2004 Dodge Caravan?

For upstream oxygen sensor service, disconnect the negative battery cable before lifting the vehicle to reach the sensor. Take out the electrical connector from the sensor and then use a comparable tool like the Snap-On YA8875 or a matching one to take out the sensor by hand. Use an 18 mm X 1.5 + 6E tap to scrub the inside of the exhaust manifold properly. If you have an original sensor, apply Loctite 771-64 anti-seize compound to the threads; new sensors are coated and do not need more compound. Put the sensor in place and tighten it to 27 N.m (20 ft. lbs.), next insert the electrical connector and secure it to the bracket. Then, bring the car down and hook up the negative battery cable again.
