2004 Dodge Durango Headlight Bulb Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on 2004 Dodge Durango?
A: Always begin the headlamp bulb service by unconnecting and unhooking the negative battery cable. Taken roughly from the Urban Dictionary, the Urban Dictionary explains that the Urban Dictionary means to take the front lamp unit off the front fender. Take hold of the circled part behind the headlamp, turn it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to free it from the housing and then pull the socket and bulb straight outward. Take out the bulb from its socket. Correct installation means picking the recommended bulb size and type to prevent any overheating. Don't put your fingers on the bulb glass or let it touch surfaces that have oil. Fit the bottom of the new bulb into the headlamp socket and press it straight in until it locks. Line up the socket and bulb with the keyed end in the front lamp unit and place them inside. After that, turn the socket clockwise roughly 30 degrees to lock it nicely in place. Slide the front lamp unit back onto the front fender and reattached the negative battery cable.
