2004 Dodge Grand Caravan Seat Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service the Seat Switch for the Driver's Seat on 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan?
A: You should start by removing the negative battery cable before handling the driver seat power switch. If your car has an eight-way power seat, carefully use a push pin remover or a fit-shaped flat-bladed tool to pop off the power seat and power recliner switch knobs. Take away the screws holding the outboard seat cushion side shield to the seat frame and pull it a bit to find the wire connector to the power seat. Remove the screws that hold the power seat switch to the inside of the outboard seat cushion shield, disconnect the wire harness from the switch connector, pull the switch out and set it aside. Place the power seat switch on the outboard seat cushion side shield and install the screws after tightening them to 1.5 Nm (14 in. lbs.). Attach the power seat wire harness connector to the power seat switch connector, then set the outboard seat cushion side shield onto the frame and put in all the screws to a torque of 1.5 Nm (14 in. lbs.). When you have the switch knobs, put them onto the switch control levers and reattach the negative battery cable.
