How to Maintain and Fix a Weather Strip on Your Trunk or Liftgate on 2005 Dodge Viper?

Before servicing or repairing the weather strip, open the decklid and mark the seam of the seal with a grease pencil or similar mark so you can install it accurately. After that, remove the weather strip. Attach the weather strip with the seam next to the previous mark and push the new weather strip down over the flange so it is fully in place.
