How to Service the Door Lock Switch for Power Sliding Doors on 2006 Dodge Caravan?

When you want to service the power sliding door switch, remove and isolate the battery negative cable first. Use the trim stick (special tool C-4755) or another suitable tool, to lift the leading upper edge of the switch away from the B-pillar trim. When the top edge is free, lift the switch out of the case and pull the lock part of the electric connector away from the switch. This will free up the wire, so you can leave the switch. Take out the B-pillar switch on the vehicle. Slide the B-pillar switch connector toward the switch while inserting it, then lock the connector in place by sliding the lock toward the switch. Place the lower end of the B-pillar switch onto the trim, push the switch securely in and then attach the battery negative cable.
