How to Service and Repair a Cigarette Lighter on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500?

In order to fix the cigarette lighter, unplug the negative cable of the battery. Take out the light knob and check the bottom of the receptacle. Insert snap ring pliers to unscrew the retaining bosses, and very carefully withdraw the base. Lastly, unscrew the wire harness to the receptacle and take off the mount in the panel.
