How to Service an Engine Control Module on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500?

Your first step in servicing the Engine Control Module should be to disconnect the negative battery cable. At this point, unplug both ECM connectors and pull down from the ECM to take out the part from the bracket holding springs. Installation must ensure that the ECM can support the car's options package. Push the ECM carefully into the middle of the retaining bracket until you hear the bracket tensioning springs start to work. After that, link the ECM wiring connectors and then link the negative cable under the battery one more time.
