2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Wiper Motor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service a Wiper Motor on 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500?
A: Before servicing the wiper motor, unhook the negative battery cable and keep it out of touch. After that, take out the wire connector from the wiper motor pigtail wire. Unbolt the nut holding the motor crank arm onto the wiper motor shaft, then make a mark between the two if you need to put the wiper motor back on. Uncouple the wiper arm crank from the motor output shaft and then remove the three screws holding the wiper motor in the motor bracket to free and remove the wiper motor. Place the wiper motor beneath the wiper linkage module motor bracket, then install and tighten the three screws to a tightness of 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) On reinstallation, put the crank arm back in line with the marks left when you removed it, while a new motor should have the crank arm pointing left and running parallel with the wiper links when the wipers is on their lower area alignment marks. Fix the nut between the motor crank arm and the wiper motor output shaft to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs., using a torque wrench), put the vehicle wiper wire harness connector on the motor wire and finally plug in the negative cable to the battery.
