How to Maintain and Repair a Drive Shaft on 2007 Chrysler 300?

To service or repair the front drive or propeller shaft, shift the gearshift to Neutral and then raise the vehicle on a hoist. After that, take out the propeller shaft heat shield and mark the shaft and front axle flanges with alignment notches. Use a wrench to remove the four front shaft bolts and, after that, use an awl or marker pen to place alignment index marks on the shaft and flange of the transfer case. Then, take out and discard the four front propeller shaft-to-transfer case flange bolts and remove the whole propeller shaft assembly after that.
