To change the accessory drive belt of 3.7L/4.7L engines, disconnect the negative battery cable, rotate the belt tensioner to a halt, and take off the belt and the tensioner. Gradually release the tensioner not to damage it. The tension of the belt is set automatically to a tensioner which is spring-loaded and is not adjustable.
