2007 Chrysler Town & Country Harmonic Balancer Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install the Harmonic Balancer Using Special Tool 8452 on 2007 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: The way to install the crankshaft harmonic balancer is by forcing it with the help of Special Tool 8452's screw, nut and thrust bearing/washer, ensuring you grease the threaded portion of the screw. Fix the harmonic balancer to the crankshaft and install Special Tool 8452 so it sits against the bolt, after which you can turn the nut to finish securing the balancer. After you remove Special Tool 8452, place the harmonic balancer bolt and tighten it to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). After that, place the accessory drive belt, put on the inner splash shield, fit the right front wheel and link the negative cable to the battery.
