  A: Open the hood by letting go of the hood latch before working on the cruise control servo. First, detach the terminal from the negative battery and then remove each end of the throttle and speed control cable from the throttle body. Push down on the small locks that keep the speed control and throttle attached to the cable bracket. Following this, release the vacuum line from the speed control servo near the battery/vacuum reservoir and unfasten the battery tray/vacuum reservoir. Following that, unhook the speed control servo and its bracket, unplug the wire from the servo and ensured the servo is removed.
