How to Safely Prepare for Air Duct Servicing to Prevent Damage on 2007 Dodge Ram 3500?

Always cut off and isolate the battery negative terminal before starting work on the air duct and then wait for the air bag system's capacitor to discharge for a full two minutes. Take care not to damage the instrument panel as you are inside. Remove the instrument panel from your car and set it up on a workbench. Should it be needed, unplug the radio speaker wire connector from the center and place the lead somewhere it won't hang. After that, take out the screw holding the defroster duct adapter to the instrument panel support and remove the defroster duct adapter itself from under the defroster duct. At the end, open the six screws that connect the defroster duct to the control panel and remove the duct.
