How to Service and Repair a Thermostat for a 3.5L Engine on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500?

Before servicing or repairing the thermostat of the 3.5L engine, take off the engine cover and let out the coolant. After that, remove the locking ring and pull the coolant tube out of the thermostat housing. First, separate the wire from the thermostat electrical connector and after that, unbolt the cover that holds the thermostat. Also, remove the thermostat housing together with its gasket, toss away the gasket and clean the area where the housing was mounted.
