How to Remove the Shift Cable Interlock on 2007 Jeep Liberty?

Before you remove the shift interlock cable, bring down the steering shaft. Depress the locking tab on the park-interlock cable, located at the top of the cable attached to the steering column and pull it toward you straight away when the ignition switch is turned to "RUN". At this step, pull the park-interlock cable off the steering column, then get the floor console and related trim out. Remove the park-interlock cable from the shift lever assembly and take out the cable from the shifter assembly bracket. Release your park-interlock cable from the rest of the clips and then take it out of the vehicle.
