How to Remove and Replace a Front Brake Pad on 2008 Dodge Avenger?

Start by raising and supporting your car and make sure to use recommended precautions for your vehicle's braking system. First, remove the wheel mounting nuts and afterward the tire and wheel from the car. Before removing the guide pin bolts, notice that the upper bolt features a sleeve on its end which should be installed into the upper hole of the mount during reattachment. Following that, unscrew the two brake caliper guide pin bolts, separate the caliper from the disc brake adapter bracket and tie it aside so it doesn't pull at the brake hose too much. After that, take out the brake pads from the caliper adapter bracket.
