2008 Dodge Avenger Headlight Bulb Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Install a Headlight Bulb on 2008 Dodge Avenger?
A: When changing halogen bulbs in your headlamps, don't let your fingertips touch the glass surface to ensure the bulbs last longer. The procedure for high beams is to place the headlamp bulb at the front of the lamp unit, hold it and turn clockwise about 1/4 turn before hooking up the electrical connector and the battery negative cable. On the driver side's low beam, slide the bulb into the front unit, grasp the rear, twist 1/4 turn clockwise, attach the electrical connector, place the power distribution center back in, clip it into the bracket, remove the air intake housing, install the retaining bolt and link the air intake sensor connector. Release the air intake housing, set it aside and attach the battery's negative cable. To get the low beam working on the passenger side, install the bulb into the front lamp, grip it firmly, twist 1/4 turn clockwise, attach the connector and attach the negative battery cable. Slide the front lamp turn signal bulb into the turn signal socket inside the lamp, rotate the bulb socket 1/4 turn clockwise, attach the electrical cord for the turn signal and connect the negative battery terminal to the side marker bulb socket.
