How to Install the Alternator for the 3.3/3.8L Engine on 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan?

For the 3.3/3.8L engine generator install, put the generator onto the engine, fit the mounting bolts and tighten them to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). Link the alternator bracket to the alternator and stud, insert the alternator bracket nut and tighten it until you reach 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.). After that, place the alternator bracket bolt and make sure it is hand-tightened to 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs). Insert the field wire connector onto the generator and bolt the B+ terminal to the generator mounting stud, tightening the nut to 13 Nm (115 in. lbs.). Attach the plastic protective cover to the terminal marked with a B+. Refer to the manufacturer's service instructions to fit the drive belt the correct way. After that, join the negative battery cable and secure the nut to the battery by using 5 Nm (45 in. lbs. of torque).
