How to Maintain and Fix a Shift Cable on 2008 Dodge Magnum?

In order to fix the shift cable, place the transmission to PARK and lift the vehicle. Unconnect the cable with the transmission, drive the vehicle down and take out the floor console (where necessary). Take out the cable of the vehicle and the grommet and gearshift cable off the lever pin.
