How to Maintain and Fix a Cruise Control Switch on 2008 Jeep Commander?

Before working on or repairing the cruise control switch, isolate the negative battery cable, wait for 2 minutes and don't touch anything sensitive until the capacitor is safe. After that, remove the air bag module, then take out the electrical connector as explained in Restraint Systems. In the end, remove the screw (1) holding the speed control switch and pull it out of the steering wheel.
