2009 Chrysler Sebring Oil Filter Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Replace an Oil Filter on 2009 Chrysler Sebring?
A: When ready for an oil and filter change, make sure the engine reaches its regular operating temperature, then park the car so it's level and cut off the engine. Lift up the oil fill cap and get the vehicle lifted on the hoist. Position a container under the oil pan drain plug, take it out, let the oil drain, check the drain plug threads and put it back on if needed. After that, take out the old oil filter and place in the new one, tightening it to a torque of 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.). After inserting the oil pan drain plug (2), tighten it until it reaches a torque reading of 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Drop the automobile to the recommended level and add the right kind and quantity of oil, before placing the oil fill cap on the engine. After you start the engine, look for any seepage before checking the oil's level after you turn it off. All engines require a full-flow, disposable oil filter and a Mopar(R) or similar type should replace the current one. Avoiding health risks and danger to nature means you need to properly get rid of used engine oil.
