How to Remove the Center Console Base on 2009 Jeep Commander?

Lift off the shifter bezel first by using a trim stick C-4755 and then take the bezel ring off the floor console. Then, open the center console panel by removing the background panel and unplug the electrical connector. Afterward, get rid of the cup holder mat (ref. C-4755 or a similar tool) and then unscrew the console from the handle.
