2010 Dodge Caliber Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Maintain and Fix an Oxygen Sensor on 2010 Dodge Caliber?
A: Be sure that the engine is cool prior to working on the oxygen sensor, to prevent getting burned near the exhaust manifold, pipes or catalytic converter. An O2S removal tool should be used to carry out this job. Start by raising and supporting the vehicle. Before removing the downstream O2 sensor, take off the O2S wire harness clips from the engine or body, detach the O2S connector from the engine wiring harness and disconnect the O2S from the catalytic converter. To replace the upstream oxygen sensor, start by lifting the vehicle and coming loose the wire harness clips, as you would for the other sensor. Following that, pull the O2S pigtail harness connector off the engine wiring harness and pull the O2S out of the exhaust pipe.
