  A: To take care of the particulate air filter, unhook the air bag's negative battery cable to disable the system and allow the capacitor two minutes to discharge. Turn the A/C-heater system off and the ignition switch to OFF before you continue. Lift out the glove box bin and pull out the two retaining tabs holding the particulate air filter cover to release and remove it from the passenger side of the HVAC housing. Remove the particulate air filter by pulling it out from the HVAC housing. Place the arrow on the filter facing the floor before placing the new part into the filter opening in the HVAC housing. Below the particulate air filter cover, you should fasten the two retaining clips to secure it, confirming they both are in place before you reinstall the glove box bin.
