Chrysler Cirrus Center Console Base Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Install the Center Console Base on Chrysler Cirrus?
    A:
Before taking the floor console out, release the gear Shift Knob and then remove the transmission range indicator bezel. Take out the screws that hold the forward side of the console to the shifter bracket and the screws that join the rear end of the console to the clips in the floor bracket. Make sure the parking brake is on before you can remove the floor console from its bracket and the vehicle. During installation, first make sure the parking brake is applied, then click on the forward tabs from the console into the forward space in the instrument panel. Find the 4-way locator just ahead of the shift bracket and the 2-way locator inside the rearward floor hinge bracket. Line up the back of the dash with the floor clips, add the screws under the floor shifter into the console and into the shifter bracket and connect the wire harness again to the indicator bezel. After that, put the transmission range indicator bezel into the console and fasten the gear shift knob again.
