How to Service and Repair a Door Latch Assembly on Chrysler Cirrus?

You should start your service and repair of the door latch by taking off the door panel trim and raising the door glass. Take out the lock cylinder, lock release button and latch release rods from the door latch and if there is one, remove the wire connector from the power door lock motor. Firmly grasp the latch and open the door, then take out the screws and the latch from the car's frame. When installing, check that the door latch is in place without closing the door so that problems with opening can be avoided. Screw the latch into the end frame of the door, reconnect the wire if your door uses a power motor and connect the lock, release rods and lock button to the latch assembly. After that, bring the door glass down and attach the door trim panel once more.
