Before you start, unhook the negative
Battery Cable and raise the car for servicing purposes. Eliminate the transmission cooler and the lower splash shield, putting them somewhere else for now. Following that, remove the lower radiator crossmember support and set a jackstand under the radiator for support. Relax the tension from the adjusting bolt and pivot bolt, but leave them positioned and unfasten the generator's
Drive Belt after that. separate the generator field circuit plug from the machine, take off the B+ terminal nut and wire and lastly, remove the pivot bolt, so the spacer is not lost. The generator can be uninstalled now. First, set the generator back in its place and use a socket wrench to fit the pivot bolt loosely into the hole. Clamp the generator field circuit plug, place the B+ terminal nut, unspool and install the generator drive belt. Fasten the belt down with the T-bolt and after removing the jackstand from the radiator, set the lower radiator crossmember support back in place. After you have moved the transmission cooler, secure it with fasteners and then set the lower plastic splash shield in place. Lower the vehicle, connect the negative battery cable and tighten every fastener on the Torque Specifications chart properly.
