To replace the wiper linkage, first open the hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from the remote battery post. Detach the wiper assembly from the vehicle, whilst disconnecting the slave link from the pivot levers and the master link from the pivot lever and motor crank, using a ball and socket wedge without damaging it. Take out the grommets from the module linkage mounting. Note that the eyelet on the grommet may need to be taken out from the rubber, which isolates the rear inboard and the forward outboard mounting. When needed, remove the "U" nut from the body. If the grommet eyelet is removed, reinstall for installation. If required, to the body, attach the "U" nut. Install the module linkage mounting grommet. While bringing together the master link and the slave link to the module frame, takes care to use channel locks with cloth over them. Otherwise, the ball and socket joint gets damaged. Use light pressure to connect the socket to the ball. Attach master link to the pivot lever and motor crank and slave link to the pivot levers without damaging the components. Afterwards, the wiper module may be installed back onto the vehicle and reconnect the negative battery cable to remote battery post.
