Before servicing the starter motor, first loosen the hood latch and lift the hood. Separate the battery negative from the cable, next disconnect the solenoid wire and take out the nut holding the B+ wire to the terminal. Take out the B+ wire and solenoid from the starter terminals and after that remove the bolts for the solenoid and thread adjusters. Once you've removed the old starter, place the new starter where it belongs on the vehicle and use the lower bolts to fix it to the transaxle bellhousing. Next, put in the upper bolt and ground wire, fit the solenoid and B+ wires onto the starter terminals and screw on the nut to attach the B+ wire to the terminal. Screw on the other end of the solenoid wire to the electronic module, reconnect the battery negative cable and ensure the starter is working.
