How to Install a Door Latch Cable and Watershield on Dodge Dakota?

To put in the upper cable, hook the cable housing to the shut face handle and then secure the cable on the opposite end (outside). After that, install the brackets for holding wires and the wire latch with bolts tightened to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.). The cable housing for the lower cable should be attached to the latch assembly and the cable end should connect to the latch arm with the upper side of the cable. Following this, hold the cable housing to the shut face handle and slide in the cable to secure it. Dirty waterproof membranes or damaged watershields cannot be repaired and must be replaced right away. The watershield should be installed in the last step.
