Remove as much power steering fluid from the reservoir as you can with the help of a siphon pump. There are two ways: use a frame contact hoist or place jack stands under the vehicle. To get to the power steering cooler for the 300M, the front fascia must first be taken off. After that, remove the hose clamp from the lower hose at the cooler and take off the lower hose, draining out any fluid that's left in the cooler and hoses. After that, take off the hose clamp and remove the upper hose from the cooler. Unbolt the 6 clips holding the air dam to the radiator lower support, then remove the 2 nuts linking the cooler to the lower crossmember on the radiator and take it out. To install, fit the power steering fluid cooler over the radiator lower crossmember, hold it firmly with the nuts and tighten them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Attach the air dam to the radiator support with the help of new retaining clips. Slide the hoses onto the cooler and put the clamps in place, making sure they are on the other side of the bead..
