How to Remove the Instrument Cluster on Dodge Journey?

The first step to taking out the instrument panel is to disable the air bag system which you do by disconnecting and isolating the negative battery cable for two minutes, to allow the capacitor to discharge. You should start by detaching the panels near the A-pillar and afterward unplug the left and right A-pillar electrical connectors. Apply Trim Stick C-4755 or a similar tool to pop out the clips holding the defroster grille in place on the top of the instrument panel and take it off. Attach two bolts on each side of the instrument panel, taping them appropriately, to a torque of 21 Nm (15 ft. lbs.). Put in the lower instrument panel storage bin and the center floor console. Connect all bolts and nuts along the windshield fence after it is installed, then bolt the instrument panel and HVAC connectors into place. Attach the left and right cowl trim panels to the door sills and cowl by inserting the retaining clips and snap the left and right front door sill scuff plates in place, ensuring their clips are snapped.
