Insert the starter into the housing of the transmission, screw in the ground wire and tighten the mounting bolts to 54 Nm. Following that, push the Battery Cable, ignition wire and battery cable nut onto the starter solenoid stud and tighten the nut to 10 Nm. Screw the electrical connector into the starter solenoid, then install and hand tighten the bolts used to connect the transmission bracket to the transmission housing. Hand tighten the bolt that holds the transmission bracket. Making sure the torque sequence is followed avoids harm to the fasteners, the bracket or rack and the threaded bolt holes.
