Remove the cover from the adhesive tape on the back of the emblem and place the emblem on the right part of the body. Press the emblem onto the body with the palm of your hand. When the temperature is below 21°C (70°F), apply heat to ensure the emblem stays on; however, don't exceed 52°C (120°F) when heating.

How to Detach the Emblem from the Body on Dodge Nitro?

Before getting rid of the body emblem, place a strip of masking tape over the body, alongside the upper edge of the emblem. Exterior nameplates are secured to the body carcass by sticky adhesive tape. If the temperature is not above 21°C (70°F), use either a heat lamp or gun to heat the emblem, but don't let it get above 52°C (120°F) during heating. Be careful not to scratch the paint when you separate the emblem from the part it is mounted on. Apply a razor or equivalent behind the emblem and run the trim stick along it to remove the adhesive from the car body. At the end, use Mopar® Super Clean solvent or any good alternative to clear away any adhesive left on the body.
