Put your slip yoke over the automatic transmission/transfer case output shaft by lining up the reference marks. For cars using a manual transmission, make the transmission flange and propeller shaft line up, set the new bolts and tighten them at 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.). On a vehicle with a two-piece propeller shaft, put the center bearing in the same alignment as the reference markings on the bracket and tighten the bolts to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.). At last, position the pieces on the propeller shaft and pinion, insert and tighten the new companion flange bolts to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.). Vibrations may occur in the driveline if the necessary instructions are ignored.
