How to Remove and Install the PCV Valve on the Oil Filler Tube on Dodge Ram 1500?

On the oil filler tube is the PCV valve which is secured by two locating tabs that go into a cam lock on the tube, keeping an O-ring sealed. Unplug the rubber tube on the PCV hose (5) to take the PCV valve out of the system. After that, turn the valve downward (toward counter-clockwise) until the locating tabs no longer hold onto the cam lock. As soon as the tabs open, pull the valve straight and make sure it stays pointing down. Check the valve to see what condition it is in once it has been removed. To install, hold the valve over the oil filler tube, make sure the locating tab is inside the cam lock, push the valve in and slowly turn it up until a small noise indicates it is mounted securely. Next, place the valve at the back of the engine and after that, secure the PCV line/hose and rubber hose to the valve.
